Has taken a steep downturn and we got absolutely fleeced here. wait staff are whack here. we tried to customise a veggie breakfast and was told it would be as cheap as the price on the menu but it turned out to be 21 for a customised veggie breakfast. close to no flexibility on ordering and we were lied to. queried this unfortunately after paying and just got a repeated "I'm really sorry." won't be going back which is a shame as the food is good. also the table in the corner overlit part of the cafe is very very obtrusively loud with hand dryer from down stairs. not pleasant overall.

Hands down the best place to have brunch (or coffee/burger/juices/anything) in Hackney. Super friendly staff, delicious and wholesome food, great vibe, eclectic yet unpretentious low-key music and an outside space from which to keep a beady eye on Stokey Newington police station - what's not to love?! Will keep on returning and very grateful that an authentic and welcoming space like this exists amongst all the usual hipster hangs.
