Good service, good food. Reasonable prices for location. No complaints.

Booked Sunday lunch, was told 3pm OK with us. Then we had to change until later, our choice. Four of us got there, no Roasts left!! Ordered vegetarian pie. Was more like a missile. Lady apologised got another one, after everyone else had finished, and still charged for it. So not a good experience for us.

Efficient, friendly service. Great food, well cooked. Table 16 as promised, good aspect, comfortable and roomy. Waiting staff interested but not obtrusive.

After the disappointment of having to pay for the car park, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Bringing family together from different parts of the country was great. The meals were very good - generous portions of well-cooked and presented food. Service was friendly and quick, but not rushing us and George the dog was made welcome. Apart from the crowded and paid-for car park, nothing really to fault you on.

We came to celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary, we chose your restaurant because we have been several times and had a lovely meal, good service, and left happy. However on this occasion I left very unhappy and we won't be returning. The waitress was beyond rude, I've never had such appalling service. If she didn't want to wait on people on her bank holiday she shouldn't have come to work. We felt like we really inconvenienced her. An example is when I ordered my steak and asked for peppercorn sauce, to be told there is none left, when I said oh that's a shame she aggressively said well we've been busy. So like a child I had to have tomato ketchup with my steak! The meals came out cold and had to be returned. Consequently we had to put more money on the parking meter due to the long waits. The food was bland, I left quite a bit of my steak as it was just so fatty, I've had better cuts from here previously, and the flavour has been so much better before. When I ordered an extra dry prosecco the waitress asked me several times what I meant and when I pointed to it on the menu she said well we only have one prosecco so it doesn't matter. There were no raspberries in the prosecco, this helps reduce the fizz and adds some sweetness, when I asked she simply said we don't have any. We ordered ice cream sundaes by the time they came to us they were half melted so I guess they had been left out a while before she bought them to us. Even asking for the bill was an issue for her. Not so much as a thank you for coming! The only saving grace was the politeness of the manager, taking time to apologise to us and very kindly offering us puddings on the house plus money off the bill, this was unexpected and I thanked him for his kindness. The whole evening was awful and ruined our anniversary. The only positive I can feedback is, you have a wonderful manager, who cares about his customers.
