From the moment of booking was provided with a professional and courteous service. David went out of his way to make us feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Room was warm, comfortable and very adequate for our needs. Dinner was superb with excellent choice and generous portions. Breakfast was again extremely tasty and served with a friendly smile. If you are looking for a village pub experience, this could be the one.

Unfortunately we went in for takeaway fish and chips just after opening only to be told they were sold out of all takeaway options! Pretty poor really..not much point staying for a drink as they were not able to provide any food!and didnt offer any alternative..pretty poor as we were visiting the area..UPDATE..I love your response,clearly you need to read my review as we asked about alternatives and you offered NOTHING!

It's such a lovely place! Full of character with olde world style, yet bang up to date. It is a wonderful menu with something for everyone. Friendly, helpful staff and a beautifully presented, large yet cozy dining area with a cottage feel to it.
