        Played the Old Foss course today for the first time. 21 winter green fee. Exceptional value for money. Lovely course in good condition despite the amount of rain that has fallen in the last few days. Not a particularly difficult course although one does have to be straight off the tee as most fairways are tree lined and a couple of long par 5s so thats where the shots can ebb away. Im a 9.2 WHS and shot a 79 so decent first outing. Lovely club house with very friendly staff. The young man in the pro shop was very friendly and accommodating. Will certainly be back. Would be 5 star but the greens had just been spiked and were obviously bobbly, so that was the only downside, anything with 2 feet was a gimme to account for that. Otherwise, great.
