The people who were working on Friday 9th September were exceptionally rude and inappropriate. Went there for a leaving party and all we were greeted with was inhospitality if I was too ever gone back again would be if the staff was fired as there only ambition was to finish as there ambition to work for a wage was completely abolished and selfish, shame, its a lovely venue, just need a change of staff.

Booked the place for my leaving party and left with the biggest regret of my life. Me and my 70 guests arrived at 7pm and got kicked at 11pm when it was previously agreed that we had the place till 3am. In the four hours we were there I received multiple threats that we would all have to leave if the barman found five bottles of alcohol. He spent the whole time vigorously searching for empty bottles that we were apparently leaving inside and outside even though after the first threat he made no one brought in any more alcohol. Despite this he kept bringing empty bottles up to me that werent ours and threatening me which ruined my whole experience with the people who I wouldnt be seeing for 5 years. It got to 11 and he stopped the whole party and it came up from behind the bar with a random empty bottle that no one had seen before and claimed it was the fifth he had found and told us all to leave the premises, four hours premature to what it should have been. Worst experience of my life. Waste of 150.

We went here and had a really lovely Sunday lunch. It's a small but thoughtful menu with a good range of starters and roast dinner options. The dinner was lovely - perfect meat, great roast potatoes and lovely selection of vegetables. Quite large portions but some of us still managed to squeeze in a dessert. Lovely looking restaurant by the river, we'll definitely return.
