Having worked in optics before I sort of know the protocol for a new customer and what is needed.
When I handed over my prescription from another opticians to the guy, I told him I need my pds taking (pupil distance) because he was asking for me to pay, yet hadnt taken what was needed for my new glasses to work in the way they should, however he seemed to think otherwise, I told him they werent on my prescription I handed over, any way was adamant I didnt, I stupidly presumed since Id left things may have changed Went to collect my new glasses at the weekend and couldnt see a thing until I tilted them down my nose They asked me to take them away for a week to try and when I said I legally cant drive in them to try them for a week the young girl went to see her manager who agreed they needed to be remade, took my pds and heights for the glasses and was very apologetic.. Im guessing the reason the guy didnt do this was because it was close to closing time and he wanted a flyer as it was between Christmas and new year Over 300 on glasses and shoddy service, not sure Ill be back after this.
