The nhs mental health is broken. My family member was discharged despite telling the team that they werent happy and still had thoughts of self harm. I was told to sit and watch and wait. I appreciate the team can only do what they are told and have funding for but mental health is on the rise and needs more money, more staff and more support.

Laura and Barbara are brilliant . Offering great support and advice to us as parents and our autistic son . They recently assisted at a school meeting which was a great help . Keep up the good work

I don't want to bash this place but they did try to help but all they told me to do was to breathe and outline my hand in a star shaped I was on a waiting list from the age of six I got a councillor when I was 13 I got removed from camhs when I was 14 and it was the most useless time ever all I have to say is that a woman called Alison she'd help me out with school and awful lot so don't bash her. Around half a year I had about four different counsellors therapists come and speak to me they were doing the job but the Bare minimum. (I was 13 when I got there and I was discharged when I was 14). I had countless different therapists and counsellors to help me out but they were from countless different organisations other than cams and they were so much better. But if you are adamant on going there is a woman called Alison who is great with everyone. But still it was a horrific waste of time and would never go again. If you need a good group of counsellors or therapists you should go to the high flyers centre or Daisy Chain.

My daughter was referred to CAMHS by her school, I got.a call last week from a guy called Eddie and I have to say he was absolutely fantastic. He spoke to me and my daughter, he explained a lot of things, gave us a website to go on and a song to listen too, both really helpful. He is the first person I have spoke to in 8 months who has actually been helpful and made sense. Fantastic
