Preston Farm Brewers Fayre

I was very disappointed with the service at the Preston Farm branch of Brewers Fayre in Stockton-on-Tees. We arrived as a party of 4 at 14:30 on a Sunday afternoon and were told that we couldn't be seated as they were only taking bookings. This was despite the fact that the restaurant was not very busy and there were plenty of empty tables. We asked if we could wait for a table to become available, but we were told that there was no guarantee that one would become free. We decided to go to The Old West Quay branch of Brewers Fayre in Hartlepool for lunch instead. We were very disappointed with the service at Brewers Fayre and would not recommend it to others. I understand that Brewers Fayre is a popular restaurant and that they may have to turn away walk-ins at busy times. However, I believe that they should have been more accommodating to our party of 4, especially as the restaurant was not very busy at the time. I would also like to point out that the staff member who spoke to us was very rude and unhelpful. He did not seem to care that we were disappointed and did not offer us any alternatives. Overall, I was very disappointed with the service at Brewers Fayre and would not recommend it to others.

Was there for breakfast and dinner. Breakfast ok apart from bacon all greasy and fatty. Dinner ok apart from rice with sweet potato curry all sticky and not enough mango chutney. Vegetarian options: Maybe sweetcorn fitters with dip
