'Ever get the feeling you've been cheated' Found this timber supplier via Google and decided to give them a go, after explaining what I wanted it for I purchased a piece rough sawn waney edge Oak, it looked a little weathered but I have a planer/ thicknesseser that usually with a couple of millimeters off makes wood fresh again After cutting a section and putting the the thicknesseser I noticed splits and cracks all across the width of the plank both front and back which I wasn't expected and renders the material useless for what I bought it for, After contacting the owner and sending photos I was advised because I had altered the state of the timber there wasn't much he could do apart from sell me another piece at a discounted price, Another piece I would have to "alter the state of" to find out if it was any use, if it wasn't what then? Buy yet another piece? Just be careful what you're buying!!
