Zizzi

Visited 28th April 2023. Visited zizis as part of a weekend away, once we'd ordered our meals it became quickly apparent that the restaurant was severely understaffed. No bar staff. Two waitresses and a waiter who appeared to be helping between the kitchen and the restaurant. What made this worse was the staff also had to attend to multiple deliveroo collections at seemingly the time of the customers in the restaurant. After fifty minutes of ordering our meal, the food came. Perfectly edible and warm. But not worth the fifty minutes wait. We asked for drinks at that point, of which the waiter wrote down but the drinks never came. I did feel sorry for the staff who when I asked if they were understaffed admitted they were. but I also think they should have been trained to explain to incoming customers of the wait and situation.

Although ive only rated zizzi Stockport 4 stars...I would still recommend a visit. The food was nice and was good value for money, big portion sizes. Definitely recommend you give the cheesy garlic bread with balsamic onions a whirl...was delicious. The young lady that served us was very professional and friendly but was on her own and had so much to do so service was a little slow, thus obviously wasnt her fault they need to hire more staff. All in all it was good but could improve!

Pretty much what you expect from chains like this and similar, slightly overpriced but sadly no burger option for the people that didn't have a say on where we dined. Ordered of the kids menu in the end! Kid-friendliness: Caters for kids
