Popped in last minute for an emergency foil blanket. They were waiting for some new stock to arrive, so the owner let me have the one he kept in his own pack. Cracking customer service.

I visited the shop to purchase a Paramo jacket and was very impressed with the service provided by Mike. The shop is stocked with a huge selection of products, and his advice regarding the best combination of clothing to stay dry, when walking was excellent. I have been in many outdoor shops but this was by far the best. The prices of the jackets and other walking gear was very competitive, and I ended up buying additional items, and this is now my go to shop. Mike even cleaned a Paramo jacket for myself and can re-proof jackets which is an excellent service. Overall ten out of ten.

I have bought quite a number of items of Paramo clothing from Mike at Basecamp over many years and would not hesitate to recommend him and his shop. I have always received excellent customer service and a friendly, warm welcome when visiting the shop

The best shopping experience I have had anywhere. I bought boots here - Base Camp is one of the few stores in the country that are qualified to stock Altberg boots. Mike, who runs the store, is knowledgeable, patient and has a kind manner that made shopping here an absolute pleasure. I would recommend anyone to go here.
