Cherryfield House

My Grandma was cared for at Cherryfield House when she became unwell with Alzheimers. The manager of the home accommodated my Grandma from the first phone call we made asking for help. Within a day my Grandma had a warm comfortable room and the staff did everything they could to make her feel welcome. My Grandma struggled with food but was offered a variety of different things to eat on a daily basis despite her having difficulties. The staff in the home became like family and cared for her as though she was part of theirs. The manager of the home would often arrange for things like the travelling pantomime and a singer to come in and entertain the residents at special events in the year. I couldnt asked for a better setting for my Grandma to spend her last days. Thankyou Cherryfields.

I work at cherryfields house best place I have ever worked the manager goes from beyond and above for the residents she treats them like her own mum and dad and she always there to support the staff the home is kept very clean , she has even took some of the residents on holiday nothing is ever to much for her I have worked at other care homes in the past but can say cherryfields is the best home to be all the staff love there jobs there because we have such a supportive manger if they gave award out for that she definitely diserve a a big award even goes out shopping them and to he residents would totally agree on all of this they get a good variety of food it's like a cafe open 24hours a day All think the manager deserve a award for it

Fantastic place I would like to thank the staff for looking after my gran and grandpa as I had been looking after them for about 2 years my self I decided to place them into loving and caring arms they took them in with open arms I have never seen them soo happy the love they give my gran and grandpa is so lovely to see, you can see how much love they have for them, and the patience they have with my gran as she sometimes doesnt take food or medication ect and likes to be a little cheeky is soo great i couldnt praise them enough for what they have done for me and my family im so grateful for each and every carer that has helped my gran and grandpa.

Most unprofessional and unsightly to see and smell 3 members of staff smoking directly outside a main door to the building. Not what I like to see when visiting family. Not only does it show its standards outside but also reflects this inside as they have no chef. Does staff have the right qualifications for feeding maybe residents with nutritional food i which Id say most elderly would need. It should not look like a pub with residents drinking alcohol but what is expected when the manager is virtually an alcoholic her self. After my father in law was off alcohol for 3 months before going in there manager decided to give him is first welcome back drink to him be a alcoholic again on jubilee day and said it was to be sociable.

I work at cherryfield as a carer the manager is amazing she goes above and beyond for all the residents and staff all the residents are cared for like are own family the place is amazing
