The people who work there are very helpful and friendly. We are planning a wedding, it's been totally stress free.

Told to arrive prompt in email for appointment to register Mums death. They were over 20 mins late! Unfriendly service for grieving family members. Not an experience I would like to go through again.

I got married in the Robert Hyde room and it was a great ceremony. We were able to customise it to our expectations and the registrar officers holding our ceremony were lovely. 4 stars as it was very difficult to get hold of someone to actually book our wedding which was due to the increased demand after Covid.

There are real issues with this service when registering births and deaths. My father passed away suddenly 10 days ago and we are still waiting for an appointment to get the certificate. The legal requirement is to register a death within 5 days but this is impossible due to a lack of appointments. This has really added to the stress during an awful time and has made it impossible to comply with the legal time frames and to start to deal with financial affairs. This could cause real financial issues for many families. My daughter is 7 weeks old and is also still unregistered due to a lack of appointments. We had to rearrange one due to my father's illness and they didn't have any others for 4 weeks. The staff are friendly on the phones but there is nothing they can do to help.
