Wouldn't use this company ever, we had shutters fitted, wasn't happy with the fit of them plus you could see daylight through the bedroom ones. They told me to buy a blind to cover the light coming through. Then they sent some dude from where they come from he told us well when you are somewhere hot they do have gap's in them that's why they call them shutters. I would not recommend to buy from this place. Their customer service is rubbish especially when they have had your money .very dissatisfied

Great Service and excellent blinds. After reading the poor reviews (some very old) I have to say I have only had positive dealings with Mike Goldrick blinds. Over the last few years I have had all my blinds installed by Mike Goldrick (Stockport) and have been very happy hence why I kept going back. They were also very helpful when my elderly mother needed a chain fitting to her old vertical blinds so she could close them as the original one had broken. I wasn't sure where she had got the blinds from but Mike Goldrick were prepared to come out unlike other blind companies I contacted who refused and were only interested in new orders. I paid a reasonable call out charge (30) and the fitter who came was so nice & helpful. He replaced the cord and wheel and there was nothing further to pay. An excellent service.

AVOID, DO NOT BUY FROM GOLDRICKS, If there was less than one star then I would have chosen it. My mother paid 350 to have venetian blinds installed and they measured incorrectly so could not fit on first visit then the blind fell down, it detached from the brackets, they visited to refix and 2 weeks later it fell again, this time smashing some cut glass by the sink. Goldricks offered to replace the venetians with roller blinds which mu mum reluctantly accepted. The rollers are considerably cheaper than the venetians yet no compensation has been given. I was offered 20 compensation from Joanne.... I asked to speak to the owner and was told Mike Goldrick does not speak to customers....... I received a letter from Mike stating his version of events and the last paragraph stating he did not want to hear back from me...... GREAT way to deal with a customer and resolve an issue. I replied to Mike and 3 weeks later looking to resolve the matter and has phoned twice and asked Joanne for Mike to contact me........ no response...... and he has rescinded the offer of 20 compensation one of his staff members offered. My mum is left with holes in the ceiling where the previous blind were fitted, cheap rollers rather than venetians and no compensation. If you are looking for a good product and service look elsewhere, DO NOT BUY FROM GOLDRICKS, they must be the least customer focussed and respectful company I know. AVOID.........If you read other negative reviews many other customers are saying the same yet Goldricks seem to abuse each customer giving negative feedback because we are all wrong ! ..... if you valued your business you would try and solve problems rather than blaming and trashing customers who in your eye are always wrong
