Trek bike. You sold me a bike that cuts the tyres. This issue needs to be addressed. Thank you. Tim.

We visited Evans Stockport when completing the Trans Pennine Trail. My bike broke so I went to Evans for help. They were very accommodating and really helped us. I decided to buy a new bike as the old one had seen better days. They were able to fit us into the schedule and had my new bike setup and we were back on the trail in an hour! Very happy with my experience, thanks guys, sorry about all of the mud!!

Not normally the type to complain but not sure I'll be coming back after a fairly bitter sweet experience here. Booked my bike in for the 100+ "Silver Service" and identified to them that the bike (2013 Pinnacle Ramin 5) had 2 issues which needed focusing on... 1) Squeaky disk brakes. 2) Poorly indexed gears. Got the bike back a few days later and got informed the bike had been sorted and it went in the shed for a couple of days until I went for a ride yesterday where almost immediately the squeaky brakes came back and the gears were worse than when it went in! Gears kept on falling out and changing by themselves which I think a quick ride would have identified and the brakes were 100% the same as before - possibly even worse. I rang them the following day and the lad on the phone was super apologetic and invited me to bring it back in to get sorted. I took it back (massive faff as I live quite far away and Stockport is a pain for parking in) and almost immediately the tone was a little bit accusatory as I was told the squeak and the gearing was down to the bike getting dirty and grit getting into the mechanisms which struck me as an odd thing to suggest as this issue doesn't happen on my other bikes or my friends bikes. They took it in and to their credit replaced the pads (which they charged me for) and sorted out the gears and to be fair the bike seems fine now but paying 100+ for a "Silver Service" left a bad taste in my mouth and the accusatory tone made me feel like I was in the wrong as I'd at least expect the gears to be indexed correctly. Ultimately the bike is fine now but the experience of getting there was pretty bad.
