I never thought I would enjoy a walking holiday so much! Granted, we were very fortunate with the weather; the first three days were glorious which provided fabulous views! A bit cloudy and misty one day and a day of wearing our waterproofs, but didnt get as soaked as we thought we would and it didn't hamper our enjoyment! We absolutely loved every minute of it and Footprints of Sussex had organised everything so well, thank you! Ive already given your details to two sets of friends! We were provided with maps and a summary of each day which really helped and our bags were moved easily from one place to the next. All the staff at the hotels were so welcoming and charming; my favourite night was probably at the Amberley Black Horse. As advised by Footprints, we made sure all our evening meals were booked so we didn't have to worry about getting in anywhere or where we were going (especially during Covid times) - again, the recommendations from Footprints were spot on! PS if you like your coffee, look out for Cadence Cycle Club Coffee stops at Truleigh Hill and Litlington :)

Hi Richard Just returned back from the SDW. Amazing walk and beautiful countryside and villages. Thank you for arranging all the places to stay, baggage transfers and our transfers at certain points. Everything went very smoothly. Cant fault anything. Weather was kind to us only Saturday did we have rain for 3/4 of the day but Deans place made up for that. Please thank all the hosts of the places we stayed at especially Lyn and Pete at Foxleigh Barn who made us extremely welcome. Now back to work and to plan our next adventure. Many thanks

Excellent experience working with Footprints for our South Downs Way holiday. They are quick to respond to emails; their information is organized, accurate and detailed; and the B&B's are first rate. We would not hesitate recommending Footprints to anyone!

We walked the South Downs Way from Buriton to Eastbourne in 7 days, starting September 28. We were very happy with the walk itself, and the arrangements that had been made for us. The B&Bs were all lovely - no exception. Our luggage was there waiting for us each day - we had no problems whatsoever on this holiday. We would recommend the tour company, and use it again in the future if we can.
