In early 2020 my wife and I tried to purchase a property through Middleton Estate agents in Steyning and I am relieved to say it fell through. At the time, our agent, Steve Carter (who I believe no longer works there) was not only unprofessional and disingenuous he completely lied to us throughout the entire process. Whilst we were navigating our way through the transaction, Steve barely answered his phone, claimed his emails were not working and denied ever receiving information from our solicitors. A couple of weeks later my wife and I were gazumped on the property we loved which was then followed by persistent emails and calls asking us to up our bid (which we refused to do). The whole experience was an utter shambles and I would never use this company again. The MD of the Steyning branch had the kindness to call us weeks later to apologise which was nice but the damage was done. I'd avoid these guys at all costs.
