We were unfortunate enough to be served by a rude and abrupt, unhelpful landlord last summer, we were shocked and retrieved to the beer garden situated at the river which was nice. I wouldn't recommend. The second star is for the garden.

Stopped by to have a quick pint and a bite to eat after a lovely 11 mile walk along the river. I had a pint of Harvey's best which is always a winner for me. I also had the Cheeseburger and chips and I will say that the Chips were very nice, crunchy and cooked well. The Burger could of been presented better, All in all not bad for the price. The staff could of smiled a bit more, but hey you can't have everything.

Not bad but not good either. I've never had to go and get my food order from the bar when it's ready?!? If I go again, I won't order food as I suppose it's not fair on the staff to have to bring food out to it's pesky paying customers. The Burger not only looks like something you'd get from a school canteen but comes on one of those brown school dinner trays! Nice Garden leading directly to the river bank, great for walks along the Adur. The chips were nice though...
