        Had a service and MOT yesterday. All seems ok and friendly enough. A word of warning though. This garage charges 60 = VAT for an MOT when the maximum that can be charged on the government website is 54.85 and there should be no VAT. When I queried this, I was told that they could charge what they like. as they have to take it elsewhere for an MOT (in my case, next door), as they do not do this themselves. This was never explained to me when I booked my car in. I feel cheated as I'm not even sure that charging VAT on something that clearly is not VAT rated is legal.

        Asked for a quote for big service, went to three companies incl this one, parts prices were similar, labour they wanted 3 extra hours...went with another company as when asked about this, they said that's what it is...at 75+ vat per hr I saved quite a bit!

        Had my (07 Ford Fiesta) Air Con recharged for just 60 including labour, I was able to drop in and have the work done while I waited. It's great to have cool air whilst driving. I'm pleased with the service and the price. WOULD recommend
