After living at PLATFORM in the past I would absolutely not recommend, the flats themselves are flashy and well equip with the added bonus of the gym and rooftop amenities. For me the draw was the option of having my dog for a fee of 50 per month that I felt was reasonable despite the price being so high per month (1025) this is without any parking, internet or utilities bare in mind. Upon moving in many of the appliances had issues, the washing machine had the water turned off which I had to turn on myself and then once usable came flying out of the fitted cabinet due to not being settled correctly. My cooker top was damaged and cracked and hadn't been replaced before moving in and I doubted if it ever would be if it weren't for the fantastic concierge Izabela who I feel was an absolute asset to this company and it's a shame they lost her. The flat itself was dirty and dusty and I knew had only been lived in recently so the cleaning crew must have done a very rushed job. My keys never worked properly the whole time I lived there and I had multiple codes I had to remember and use whilst living there. The intercom system would very regularly turn off or not work altogether and the boiler would turn itself on even if the Nest system was off costing more money per month. I never had the heating on, electricity off most of the time by the mains and minimal water use and payment were up to 100 a month despite this. The parking which I didn't use but observed is a joke as you pay per month 75-80 and yet it is open to the public, so regularly people were unable to park despite living there as many commuters use the parking area to get into London from Stevenage train station. What are they even paying for at this point!? I think the worst part about living here was leaving, the policy states that there must be a tenant available to move in upon your leave or you will not receive any money back for the monthly payments. I luckily upon my early release request had a tenant move in right away. Getting my deposit and over paid rent back however, was an absolute nightmare and distressing. It took 3 months to finally receive my money and many emails ignored altogether. The staff were rude and initially only returned my deposit alone, to get remaining rent was even worse with many members of staff claiming nothing was due! Eventually it was returned, when after being polite and understanding of the lack of staff and Covid having an affect I threatened taking legal action. This is not something I wanted to do but was the only way to get a reply from anyone at all! Now I was relieved to be done with the place at this point or so I thought... A year since moving out I receive an accusationary email stating I owe them a deposit of over 700 as this was overpaid to me with no further explanation. This was incredibly upsetting as the wording was harsh and threatened legal action if I did not pay and the number itself seemed to come from nowhere! After calling the payments team it was eventually discovered that this email was completely incorrect and in fact they themselves had no record of rent paid in August 2021 and that without bank statements they would expect the money promptly. This is the fault of the previous management LIV GROUP which had absolutely nothing to do with me. They had not documented that they had failed to submit my Direct Debit which I supplied twice and had immediately transferred the rent to them after noticing they hadn't taken the payment. After supplying all the email correspondences and bank statement I was then called to confirm I had indeed paid and they did not in fact require any money from me. No apology for the distress, nothing at all! If it weren't for the recent contact I was inclined to forget the previous misdeeds but after my last experience I had to inform anyone else looking to rent at PLATFORM to stay away! The whole experience was stressful and degrading! I am appalled at this company and I would advise anyone reading that they look anywhere else!
