        Unison are a sham. They're VERY good at talking the talk in order to convince you to part with your hard-earned cash, but when it comes to walking the walk, all those magical "member benefits" disappear in a cloud of smoke. I've been denied "free legal advice" twice, my own branch rep lied to me, and presently I can't get anyone from my regional office to even call me back, despite my line managers at work publicly threatening to hang me and shoot me. If you wonder where your money goes, have a look at their job adverts! They frequently pay their own full-time staff upwards of 40,000 a year. Check out the Unison reviews on TrustPilot too... Do yourself (and your bank account) a favour and avoid... it's a gravy train for the weak.

        Needed to call Unison Direct as a result of my Branch Rep being off on sick leave. It is a busy helpline however. Amazingly Lines open at 06.00am and are open until midnight. I found that I only 'queued' for a very short time when I rang early morning The agent was friendly and extremely helpful. Within hours I had a Rep call me who told me he could meet with me this week. This is what a call great member support. Thankyou to Michelle at Unison Direct for your help.
