We arranged and booked to have lunch with friends on Monday the 20th March ,we arrived on time only to be told that due to problems the kitchen was out of order and as such no lunches available ,didnt you get a call ,(if we had we wouldnt be there ,) no I said and the lady on the bar just carried on serving drinks to others at the bar ,no apologies,in fact she almost said it with a smirk ,needless to say we will never attempt to use this public house again as we had to find another place to have lunch ,take my advice dont trust them for lunch look elsewhere ,we want to the Huntsman and Hounds at Althorn and had a great meals with lovely service .

Really enjoyed our time in the star, friendly people and the Sunday roast was amazing. Highly recommend.
