    We didn't get to use the pool and so returned all the items and promised a refund (though never told how much) which turned out to be only 10 so spent over 100+ to NOT use a birth pool and returned it two weeks early! I mentioned this to them but limited customer service! This is highlife by the fact it took them a year to reply to this review and in a rude way as well (see below). It stated it was a hire, but tricks customers on the false promise of a refund if items not used and never specified how much. Several items were returned in their packaging so why only 10 refunded? #poorservice

    Poor poor company which I would stay away from. The birthing pool was unopened (home birth plans changed) so it was collected by DPD unopened/unused. 4 weeks later, I have to chase Made in Water asking where my full refund was. Apparently they had never received the package although I received a DPD confirmation that it was picked up. After further conversations, they refunded me the sum, minus 25 handling fee and 29.50 delivery charge; 14.50 for delivering and 14.50 for picking up (it doesn't even equal 29.50). Informed them this is nowhere on the website and they referred me to their Terms of Conditions.....still nowhere. Made up delivery costs (I was told this is the amount it cost them so that's how much I should pay) and such poor customer service. Stay clear at all costs

    We had a poor experience with La Bassine related to delivery issues. 10 for delivery charges when youre making a large purchase is unusual nowadays but we accepted the cost until it then took 1 week instead of 1 day to deliver as contracted. When chasing the delayed delivery we got a response from La Bassine: Parcelforce, being a very large and inefficient company dont move very fast - an unhelpful reply for a customer. When went hen asked for a refund on the delivery cost because the 1 day delivery wasnt met, they replied: You have no reason to expect us to lose money for shipping. Ultimately we all understand that there are delivery delays nowadays but the customer service and tone of these replies demonstrate their attitude to taking responsibility for these issues. Were sharing our experience so you can make a better decision before using La Bassine if you are looking for quick, reassured delivery close to your due date as it is stressful chasing this equipment daily when you know its so important! If you have plenty of time then delays/experiences like this may not be as critical for you.
