Just had dinner here. Thought ok. Dogs allowed good. Ordered our food and I had the chicken and ham hock pie thinking I can give some to our little dog. Other half noticed a water and treat station for the dogs. He filled water bowl up but she is fussy so we didn't give her any treats. He noticed a dog menu. I asked him to order her half a chicken breast. No trimmings. After the young chap at the bar spent god knows how long looking for a dogs bowl even trying to take the water bowl she was using. He found a very small dogs bowl. Now don't get me wrong she is a small dog (Yorkypoo). If he had said I would have got her waterbowl out car. He brought it full up with chicken veg and gravy. We said we only asked for the chicken breast. He took back ad we can only presume the manager. She brought the same bowl out saying they had removed all the vegetables but it still had the gravy on. I said no we only ordered the chicken breast. She said well they though as its for a dog they would want gravy. Not our one, she would have eaten just the chicken breast we had ordered of the dog MENU. Ask first don't presume, if we had wated vegetables and gravy we would have ordered the chicken and vegetables. Also if you provied a dog menu have more than 2 dog bowls. I am sure you have plenty of chipped bowls or plates. Made for what should have been a relaxed last meal in devon before we go home tomorrow very uncomfortable let alone the small chairs on such high tables and service wasn't much better.
