Attended a private function. Heard many good reports, regarding the venue and food. Very disappointed from start to finish. Money wasted. Car parking area was pot holed and very rough. Venue was clean. Drink prices very high, and not enough staff serving. Those that were serving stressed out. Meal was VERY disappointing, starter miniscule portion. Main was supposed to be breast of chicken. Sadly it looked like a fish finger that had been in a toaster. A very disappointing venue which spoiled the function completely

The meeting I attended at TGaE was well organised with plenty of space to sit as well as move around available for the dignitaries and others attending. After the meeting the staff moved the dining tables into position efficiently and effectively. However the bar that was available was understaffed with long queues forming in order to obtain service. The meal was fine and the quality of the food served was good but the lighting in the marquee was very poor making it really difficult to see what you were eating. Again it took a long time for the tables to be served with upwards of 20 minutes between courses. A colleague on the table I sat at had to make a speech and people sitting either side of him had their mobile phone torches shining on his face in order that the audience could see him. The lighting in the marquee was that poor making it difficult to see who was sitting at adjoining tables. Car parking at the venue was good and nothing to do with TGaE was the really challenging weather of the day.
