Good fishing venue and reasonable price at 5 per day. Although the walk from the car park to the water is a bit arduous at times. You have to go through a field which is bumpy and at times littered with cow pats! It is only open around the farm shop hours. 8am till 5pm Monday to Saturday and 8am till 1pm Sunday. I have been fishing there for over 2 years, and although I have had some decent catches, there does not appear to be the same amount of fish in there as there has been previously. I pointed this out to the owner's son and he said no fish have been taken out. This is either not the case or the fishery has had poachers! I have been told there are roach and tench in the water, but having fished there for over 2 years and used maggots/casters and not caught one, added to which, none of my friends have caught one, I would dispute that claim. There are quite a few crucian carp but they seem to be ,mainly small ones. A pleasant place to fish and you are guaranteed to catch something.There are plenty of small fish in there. Edit Since I wrote this review I have fished here and I'm afraid the owners are not looking after the water. The pegs have been neglected and are overgrown with weed, brambles and rushes. That, added to the fact that a lot of the larger fish seem to have disappeared means we won't be returning anytime soon. We may go in the spring to see if anything has been done maintenance wise and if not we won't go again. Shame really as it was once a pleasant place to fish and catch some large carp. Edit 2. I have been told recently that Gary the fishery owner has passed away. His son has taken over and he has admitted to someone that he has taken a lot of the large carp out and sold them. The pegs are now overgrown and unfishable. Don't waste your time at this place.

Excellent range of equestrian food and tack in the well stocked. Haylage top quality best in the area I've found so far
