Bought a Mazda MX5 from here in August 2019. Within 4 months the front brakes, calipers and pads needed replacing as they were sticking and overheating. Same problem again 18 months ago and again as of a few days ago. Clearly there was something inherently wrong with the car. Don't buy here, read this and other reviews first!

Viewed a Jag XF here, given the key to test drive on arrival, no hard sell like most others, loved the car and trade deal I got for both my old van and the wife's car were excellent, excellent service throughout hassle free and no problems with the XF which I have now had for 3 years.

The pros... - friendly, welcoming (I dealt with Sam on the day). - free to test drive without the salesman with you - most of the requests such as fixing little things that were 'visibly wrong' were done. - smooth closing transaction (done with another salesman) - car in question, 2011 Mercedes, purchased in full. The cons... - no test drive unless you are considering buying the car. Not a great policy if you are not sure what you want. I could have spent more had it been relaxed to test drive others. - waited over 2 months from putting my deposit down for them to fix a ABS issue. I was patient. Had to ask for an extra half tank of fuel for my troubles. I think they could have done better and should have come forth with the compensation. - little negotiation on the price. After doing more research, car was well over priced but it was the model we wanted and best we could find at the time (btw this isn't my only car in the stable). - waited over 3 months from them to provide invoices for the work done although I was told they invoice their mechanics monthly. Had to do a lot of chasing! And the more I chased the more they miraculously appeared. (just Two!) - car not valeted (was a rainy day but even so the inside? Apparently no valeter). No compensation. - invoice didn't match the work done - was promised car would be serviced if due and it was due. I have pictures to prove no oil, oil filter or air filter had been changed. Did the oil and filter go that bad after 40 miles driving home. See pics. You decide. - invoice states pads and disks where all changed but rear disks were not - clearly!. Also used cheap disk and pads but I guess most places would. See pics. - no name is ever signed on an email so you don't know who you are talking to - no response, acknowledgement or suggestion of willing to pay for the rear disks, - makes me question if my air con was re-gassed? - said tracking was done, not according to my hunter tracking print out from my tyre guy. Again questionable. They claim wear and tear. Maybe, but they don't have a tracking print out to prove it was done other than a written receipt showing the cost. All work is carried out by a third party. Conclusion... - I've paid for my own servicing for peace of mind and my mechanic agrees the work was was not done on oil, oil filters, air filters, rear brake disks, tracking (I didn't need a mechanic to tell me this). - I gave this place a chance even with the few negative reviews and when I was there, I really thought I was dealing with a fair business. They definitely know their cars and have a nice collection of old skool motors. - I would have really liked to have written an awesome review to outshine the negatives but it's ended up with me personally not wanting to recommend them or use them again for future purchases. So you've lost what would of been a loyal and repeat customer over a small saving of a service and brake disks. Honesty goes a long way.
