All the controversy about Care Homes. This is a support Home that's been locked down by the Management, the current Manager has not allowed any of the many Residents to be put at risk. So many people working from home and yet no incident from COVID19 here, there's a sense of Community spirit supported by the Manager who chooses to make sure that the safety of Residents is Paramount. Not one case of infection, yet the Council took away the Care component for the scheme. Tell me that the support that the Manager is not above and beyond! I'm proud to be a part of my Home and the wonderful work that that's kept us all safe in such a difficult time. Perhaps I wonder how official Care Homes have such an upsetting and controversial record, I feel for those who like myself are critically vunerable and yet are not receiving the same record of support!

Wolstenholme- a long history that has already been written in an excellent booklet available within St John's Church. I think that it is only fair to say that there is a project ongoing by HCHA that will be an exemplary modality of care in the near future. The history of St John's Church and Wolstenholme is clearly written in the aforementioned booklet ( Please ask a question about this if you find an interest) Wolstenholme is a Care Home for residential rental from Harrow Churches Housing Association, I can only say that the land adjoining has been purchased and for the elder generation 55+ is a venture that to me is exciting. If you are a local you will already know the existing building, formally support care and now due to, I surmise, the convoluted Brexit negotiation now had a budget cut of 18%, hence the loss of title to Care Support. However the status quo remains as a result of Community Spirit and the support of good Management.
