The rudest charity shop I've ever been to. I called headoffice before going. Spoke with a lady called Liz who said it was OK to take my pre loved charity clothes into the stanmore branch. All the clothes were for babies boys and girls under the age of 2 years old. A volunteer lady, (who's name I did not catch) I can only describe her as slim blonde in her mid 50s maybe, was so rude, she shouted at me in front of the whole store today, saying I should take my bags and leave and that I was lying about talking to someone before coming in. When I asked her for a moment to show her proof on my phone of the number I had called and the name of the person, she said 'your lying, you havnt spoken to anyone and you need to take your bags and leave'. I was calm in pleading that I was not lying, if she'd just let me get my phone from my car. She said, we don't care, we won't accept your bags anyway so just take them and leave. She did all of this loud enough for her manager called Allie to hear who did nothing about the way I was spoken to. When I got back in my car, I called the number and Liz confirmed I had spoken to her and she confirmed she did infact say it was OK for me to go there, she was so apologetic about how I was treated and said she'd investigate it. I got a call back an hour later from another lovely MOS apologising but she said the volunteer lady and the manager Allie denied any of the above happened. Said they were nothing but polite with me. What an absolute joke. CCTV doesn't record sound apparently, but they will see her grabbing the bag of small baby clothes and shoving it into my hands telling me to leave. RUDE LADY SHOULD NOT BE WORKING ANYWHERE LET ALONE A CHAIRTY SHOP. Completely shaken me and reduced me to tears being spoken to like that. Made me feel like a criminal, like I was doing something wrong not something good.
