I had an elective angiogram carried out at Royal Brompton on 28 May. Regrettably I am seasoned NHS flyer with dealings in several London hospitals. My experience of RBH was EXEMPLARY. All members of staff were professional, kind and caring. I was apprehensive before the procedure and the Nursing Assistant was really gentle and reassuring. The Theatre Medics were friendly, whilst being totally professional throughout. My Consultant carried out the angiogram with minimal pain or discomfort. The hot blanket as I came out of theatre provided for my When Harry met Sally moment and I was recovering on the ward within about an hour. All I can add is we are all quick to criticise the NHS when it goes superbly as my experience, please also be quick to CONGRATULATE. Thanks RBHT.
