One of the best meals I've had in London for a while, and extremely good value as well! The food was really delicious and generously portioned - I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu, but I have to say that the crab raviolo was impeccable. Also very impressed with the cheese and wine selection. The service was wonderful and the setting is perfect for both a romantic meal for two or a family/friend catch-up. 70 for a 3-course dinner of this quality is basically a steal given how expensive dining out in London is as of late (a meal in any random restaurant will now be 100+ per head!). Will definitely be returning here.

Visited on Saturday for their 3 course lunch. Really delicious food and incredibly well presented, and so much choice to decide from in each of the 3 courses; starter, main, dessert. Crab ravioli was top notch, excellent. Lamb was gorgeous, and friend recommends the monk fish. Triple cooked chips and bearnaise sauce were just incredible (you really only need 1 portion between 2, but we were greedy and ate most of them!) . I would say that the welcome and service by the staff is exemplary. It's been a long time since I've received this level of service. The approach is informal yet attentive, warm and friendly atmosphere, and nothing was too much trouble. Really 5 star service from all of the staff. Really fabulous lunch, can't wait to return.. very soon!

I'll never stop recommending Medlar to anyone who will listen! We went in most recently on Thursday night for an early dinner and, as usual, I'm not sure if the food or the staff deserves more praise. The team were extraordinary with a precognition for everything we wanted! And the food was incredible from the first piece of warm focaccia to the last chocolate bonbon, not to mention the beautiful house cocktail too. This might anyways be favourite meal in London.

We went as a party of four today and had a fantastic lunch. Everything from the food to the drink to the service was extremely difficult to fault. We had brought two bottles of our own wine and the sommelier was more than happy to decant and serve the wine, and our glasses were almost never empty (until the wine ran out, anyway). My friend ordered two glasses on top of this and said they were delicious. The service was friendly and professional throughout and the menu offered a great selection of dishes, certainly more than one often finds on a set lunchtime menu. It was all of a high standard, especially the beef main with stuffed mushroom, snails and shallot puree, which is one of the best plates of food I've had this year. For a gougere each, three courses, corkage for the wine (and a couple of glasses on top), plus tea and coffees, it came to around 74 with service. For a meal like that, it was well worth it and we look forward to revisiting again.
