Hello my name is Peter Catlin. I am 79 years old, I have just finished a stay at Collins house. Following a fall at home, I live alone and laid undiscovered for 3days I was taken to hospital with several problems. When told I was going to a carehome, I was very concerned as I used to inspect some . Nothing could be further than the truth with Collins House. My time there was fantastic. The accommodations, but most of all the wonderful staff. I cant name them all (Wendy )but from the management office staff caters. Maintenance staff. Everything was perfect, hope i can get back if I need end of life care.

I visited a friend there, Mr AA. The staff are lovely people. On entry I was welcomed. I got a very nice vibe about the place. All the staff I said hi too were lovely, lovely people.

Every person we dealt with at Collins House were the kindest and most helpful at a time of sadness and despair. Everyone we spoke to went over and above to help us deal with the constraints caused by the pandemic and nothing was too much trouble. Mum was originally from Poland and loved to speak the language and Collins House made this happen. Beata and Agnieszka spoke to mum in polish and as mum had lost her appetite Beata made Polish food to encourage mum to eat. Agnieszka and Fleur also spoke at length with my dad, which gave him great comfort. Tracy went over and above allowing us to FaceTime so we got to see mum, which just so happens to be our last time and left us with a precious memory. When we thanked the staff they said it was their job, but like my dad says some people just do their job and others do it with love and care and this is how we feel about all the staff at Collins House.
