Jamie was initially helpful, coming round quickly to give a quote and was able to schedule work in within a week.
We needed three velux units replacing to low pitch versions which Jamie said he was happy to do. After the work was complete, the units were still leaking. We contacted Jamie to ask if he could resolve the issues and he demanded payment prior to doing this. We paid and to date have not heard back from him.
We then had a report on the installation carried out by velux who have said they had been installed incorrectly and some parts had been left in the box.
We have since had a velux approved roofer in to fix the issues and have had no problems since.
We would not use Jamie again. Service: Skylight installation

- low cost (but perhaps not highest quality - see photo of unfixed membrane)
- Jamie is responsive to emails and queries and offers to set things right
Cons:
- need supervision: in my absence they used my hoover and cleaning supplies without permission, and didn't empty/return them when done, and I couldn't use my bathroom light for a weekend after they left it full of rainwater
- seem to be unlucky, and a bit accident prone: in moving my car they gave it a flat tyre (which was replaced without question or complaint), broke my neighbour's wall (which they offered to remedy), and for one reason or another (delayed supplies?) an expected ten day job took over a month
- not that professional: the crew dumped their personal trash unsorted into my wheelie bins, so I emptied out all the unbagged hair, tissues, and uneaten food, sorted it out, and left notes on the bins of what went in what; milestone payments were repeatedly asked for early and personal issues were shared with me as part of that which I didn't want to know. I appreciate times are hard for everyone, but guilt-tripping a client is just not acceptable.
It was overall very stressful as an experience, and personally I won't be using them again. Services: Roof installation, Roof repair
