I trained here and as a red belt I represented this club, I beat a black belt in sparring and the judges were my own senseis and they refused to acknowledge points won by me and handed the victory to the black belt, I landed strikes and they pretended not to have seen while counting strikes not landed by the black belt. I quit their club, I deserve better. Osu

Fantastic Shotokan Karate club! Wide range of capabilities which are always catered for by highly experienced Senseis with wealth of knowledge and skills. Fun environment to get fit and learn new skills amongst a wonderful group of people. I don't remember a "James", perhaps he has mistakenly reviewed the wrong club as we have not had any sparring/competitions since initial lockdown well over 1 year ago.

Love it!!! I've been training with this clubs for over 10yrs. Started as a white belt and worked my way up to a black belt. It's an amazing club, mixture of adults and kids. The Senseis focus on individual's training needs as well as making it educational and fun. We've been around since 1980s with exceptional Senseis full of decades of knowledge. Highly recommend joining us if you want to learn traditional Shotokan karate.

Vale Karate is a great club to train with. It's got a good team of experienced instructors and a friendly environment. Since I joined back in 2012, I've been enjoying every class, appreciating the instructors emphasis in teaching effective and useful techniques as well as taking into account individual capabilities and limitations. Everybody is friendly and treated as equals, making you feel as part of a big family, valuing everyone's opinion,.... ....as well as learning how to defend yourself from an attacker. :-) PS Somebody mentioned a bad experience regarding a competition, but I don't recall any kind of competition since I joined the club on 2012. Is that person sure is reviewing the right club?
