Really 4.5 stars! The owners are lovely, warm and welcoming. The site is clean, modern and well equipped. The cabin I stayed in (owl) was toasty warm (end of December) and controlled with a thermostat. Its not just warm but really comfortably warm (underfloor). Facilities are really excellent. Nice bathroom with a nice shower, very warm with good pressure. Hot tub was great. Kitchen is well equipped with fridge, sink, microwave and a range of plates, bowl, utensils etc and the owners have stocked the cupboard/fridge with some drinks, snacks and breakfast items which is very sweet! There's a bbq, firepit. Table and chairs inside and out plus a small sofa and a bed. For entertainment a radio and a smart TV that is hooked up to reasonable Internet (not entirely stable connection, films would cut out so worth downloading instead of streaming if you can!) I'm really super pleased with everything here, so why not 5 stars? Despite the bed bering lovely and and well furnished with very nice pillows and coverings, the mattress is a tad hard for my liking. I'm a side sleeper, the missus is a front sleeper and we both feel a little crippled after a night's sleep. I feel this way after staying in most accommodation beds so, it's probably me being more used to much softer, memory foam mattresses. A really stellar place to stay. Would very much rather stay here than most hotels and not much to be improved upon if you want some where to stay for the night or, somewhere to cosy up for the night and relax with a glass of prosecco, a hot tub and the hooting of owls in the distance or a film or two!
