I have had the misfortune to deal with this company three times in the last few years because they were the solicitors for the other party. I would never ever engage them myself. Two commercial lease transactions and one personal house sale have all missed their deadlines because Chattertons could not organise themselves between departments, the last one cost me an extra 450 to get my solicitor to issue alternative paperwork to get the deadline that we needed. On all occasions this company has caused me needless stress particularly with the house sale which went to the wire of the last half an hour and we nearly lost our removal date as the solicitor in question went away on holiday and didnt communicate this which lost us our two week window between exchange and completion. The last lease transaction was at best excuse after excuse, at worse lie after lie. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere.

Chattertons Solicitors have just completed the sale of my mums bungalow. Lucy was always at the other end of the phone to answer my queries and worked hard to push the sale through for us as speedily as possible. Very many thanks for all your help.

I used Chattertons to help with a dispute between ourselves and Lincoln City Council who were being intransigent over an important issue involving the Crown Estates. My case was dealt with very professionally and punctually, resulting in a positive outcome for us.
