I would not recommend working for or with this firm. I was outsourced by the firm as a freelance Marketing Executive, in which the Director; Julie Larman (Patricia) , decided against paying me the full invoice cost, instead only offering what she considers my times worth. This was conveyed to me in a quite condescending tone via a thread of emails. She has continuously attempted to find any excuse possible to invalidate the invoice, which is rather embarrassing considering the amount of money owed. All the while she continues to display the work I completed for her firm on the website. I was accused of being "rude" & "threatening" for simply advising that my invoice is a set rate and non-negotiable. This was confirmed before starting to work there, and to only be offered half of the invoice amount was beyond insulting. She has now sent me half of my invoice to my bank account, which is more than likely a last ditch effort to dissuade me from taking further action. But out of principle, and being self employed I feel it is down to me to stand up for myself and anyone else who may end up in this position. I have informed Julie that I am happy to go ahead to the small claims court to receive what is owed to me, in hopes this wont happen to anyone else having dealings with this firm. I feel I was taken advantage of due to my age, my polite, non-confrontational personality and the fact I am new to being self-employed. I have had our email exchange reviewed by a senior employment specialist who supports me through my self-employment, he was horrified by Julie's behaviour and advised me to write this review.
