Captain Cook's Cottage, Staithes - holiday let

A very historic cottage in an absolutely prime position in Staithes. Everything needed for a comfortable stay of any length is provided and we hope to visit again. There are (hilly) walks all around and os actually on the long distance path " The Cleveland Way". It is a dream for artists. Thank you for an enjoyable week. John and Celia, John and Barbara

Wonderfull base for a North Yorks adventure,CCC is a tranquil, beautifuly appointed and equipped piece of history that feels superbly comfortable and homely the second you walk through the door. The owners couldn't be more obliging and any recommendation couldn't do this step back in time justice. We have been and will be back.

We have had a fabulous 5 nights stay at Captain Cooks Cottage. Cosy, well equipped it had everything you needed. The views were stunning lovely local pubs for drink and food also Dottys tearoom was lovely. Great location to other beaches and wonderful walks along the Cleveland Way. So peaceful and quiet despite the pub being 2 doors away and the beach busy at times. My son and daughter loved swimming most evenings and could be seen from the cottage. Definitely more than 5 stars from us we loved it from start to finish and was gutted to leave. Highly recommend to everyone, you will not be disappointed my only thing would be wish it was dog friendly as my little dog would have loved it as much as we did. Thanks so much Mitch for the biscuits and wine also x
