Sadly, the worst bacon sandwich I've ever had. Cold streaky bacon on broken slices of bread. Half the sandwich had a scrap of a slice of bacon in it. Had to go to the next cafe and get a proper bacon sandwich after.

Appalling! Visited Staithes with my family and children on a hot day, and, as you do, we went to purchase ice creams. Upon entering the cafe, we were not greeted, and waited at the counter to be served. The woman behind the till did not even look at us, and just continued to ignore us. We were patient with her for 10minutes, but after the woman's daughter entered and took up post behind the till, we still were not served or given the opportunity to order. So extremely rude! I do not reccomend this, but, I can vouch for The Cobbles parlour just down the road.

I have taken a friend who has mobility issues to this homely cafe and the owner and staff could not have been more helpful. The cafe creates a friendly atmosphere for its customers We enjoyed the delicious prawn sandwiches (with plenty of prawns!!) and on fresh bread. (Other sandwiches are available but I love prawns!!) This little cafe will certainly do Staithes proud in what it offers to visitors and locals alike.
