I ordered a new card reader which never came. I visited Nationwide in Staines to get one and they had none. The cashier just shrugged.

I went to this branch today around after 3pm with the intention of opening an ISA account. one or two positive comment, 1st the branch itself look nicely set up inside, almost homely with all the furniture and sitting area. 2nd, I was seen at the cashier straight away as there were no queue. From here things went down hill with regards to customer service. I mentioned my intention to open an ISA, and I was pointed to the two staff sitting at the big table and was direct to go to one of them. However, as i approached the member of staff I choose to deal with my inquiry, she directed me back to the cashier to deposit my cash, which i did, and by the time the cashier had finished counting my cash more people had arrived in to the branch. I was made to wait further more for another person to deal with me . Although there was the other member of staff sitting at the table (from the initial approach) who had finished dealing with her customer, & was not serving at this point. I raised the question if she will be dealing with my enquiry, and to to my disappointment , she informed me that the person dealing with me was the person who happens to be the one who just opened up a new counter. I did not feel welcome at all, by no means. I will be placing my saving somewhere else. The member of staff in this branch were not very helpful at all. Aweful! i would not rate this Nationwide branch at all. I visited on this same day, 2 other banks , and the customer service were both welcoming and deserving of at least 4*.
