As a general rule the majority of the staff in Stafford branch are very polite and helpful. Tonight (Thursday 8 Dec) at about 5pm the young man on the menswear section was so slow and distracted and almost comatose. Hardly the sort of customer service expected. You can do better Next.

Came to pick up a parcel. They had a short power cut. Approximately 2 minutes. Next is apparently not a very resilient company as when everyone else reopened they claimed someone was stuck in the lift even though we could see the door was open and then claimed the WiFi wasn't working so we couldn't pick up our parcel. Remind me what century we live in? I must have travelled 2 decades back in time. But oh well. I guess the staff just wanted to go home an hour earlier.

Went to collect an order I had placed online. It wasn't peak time so the store was relatively quiet. I went the desk to show my reference & collect my order. I was then told by a lady who was sorting coat hangers that to help assist busy staff there are machines 'just over there' who will take my reference and someone will bring my order out. I explained I have poor vision and could she help ' no sorry, the machines are easy to use and will guide you through it'! She then turned her back to me!! Three are 2 machines one of which wouldn't accept my surname!! I asked a customer waiting behind if he could help me and he came to the same conclusion as me that the machine wasn't working. 2nd machine he helped me again and happily accepted my reference and I waited for my order. Lady brings out a small bag, clearly one item inside quickly passes it to me and disappeared. I checked the label which stated 2 ITEMS inside. Opened & only one item was inside so had to go back to customer services who then took another half am hour to work out how to deal only to end up telling me to go onto my account at home and send a message online!!! All the time I was waiting for customer services to sort my missing item another lady was at the till trying to pay via her phone but the machine wouldn't let her, th cashiers response was repeatedly 'well don't you carry a card because our WIFI is awful in here and we very often can't take payments via contactless!!' NEXT what is going on. I had placed an order of over 350 but after seeing the disgraceful service in your store I cancelled it all. You used to be a respected retailer with quality staff who cared and now it appears your staff are just waiting to go home and get through their shift doing ad little as possible. Absolutely dreadful experience wish I could give 0 stars!
