I worked as a support worker at the Crescent, Turning Point, from Feb until the end of June 2020 and had a fantastic experience, exceeding all my expectations. Great training where the more you put in the more you get out, I had 4 certificates in my first month which I can use going forward in my career. Extremely helpful and supportive management who offer practical support as well as develop your longer term goals. Brilliant, friendly & upbeat staff who care deeply about the residents, will answer any questions and are always looking to improve the service users experience. The service users are a wide ranging and wonderful group of characters who made it very, very hard for me to leave. I highly, highly recommend applying to the Crescent if you are interested in Support Work, as a complete beginner or someone with years of experience. The autonomy and support you have to make positive changes here is the most fulfilling part.
