Beautiful farm stay cottages. We stayed in the dairy House cottage along with our 3yr old son. Great for young children (especially toddlers) with animal feeding, pony rides, soft play, play barn (with giant sand pit), swimming pool, and outside ride-on/push child tractor and scooter course. There's even a wilderness trail. You can quite easily spend a few low key days at the cottages and easily entertain your child(ren). I presume the lustre is lost on elder children. However, the area is quite good for accessing other locations such as the Eden project, kidzone, and the adventure quarry.

Just back from a one week break in October with our 21 month old son. Children often dont want to go home from holiday, but this time we didnt really want to go home either. Such a magical, relaxing place, which all three of us thoroughly enjoyed. Beautiful views, spotless cosy cottage, super friendly staff and very gentle animals. It was so easy to keep our toddler entertained with so many activities and facilities right on our doorstep. After everything animal related (something every morning except Fridays and Sundays), soft play and the pool were a real hit with him. I have to commend them on the soft play for being the cleanest I have ever visited. Recommended babysitter Wendy was lovely and gave us a chance to explore Lostwithiel at night. It is clear that a great deal of thought and heart has gone into this farm. We felt very welcome and at home. They have thought of everything to make life easy for their guests. On-site shop is stocked with Cook meals and local produce (Carpe Diem wine from Cornish Knightor, the local bacon and farm eggs were particular highlights and we bought extra of all three to bring home). They have spare wellies if you forget yours as well as back pack carriers for the nature trail (well worth doing as the woods and grounds are gorgeous). Soft play has a comfy seating area and coffee machine. Were already planning our return trip. Our toddler seems to be too. He was chanting goats, eating, chickens, plop play, fun!, swimming, fun! in the car on the drive home. Cant wait to go back.
