Amazing Driving Instructor Really recommend Tim at Chess Drivers. As an anxious driver, Tim immediately put me at ease, and kept me calm, he's also patient and made everything easy to understand. We covered many different test routes and locations which helped me gain confidence in driving in different situations, which has helped me feel safe and prepared when driving independently since passing Before learning with Tim I initially had a few lessons with another instructor at 17 and left after feeling too anxious, this experience really knocked my confidence - now years later I'm on the road thanks to Chess Drivers. Amazing instructor, definitely would recommend!

I started driving at 35 with no previous experience. I passed my test first time thanks to Tim. He is very knowledgeable, calm, fun and most importantly safe. I recommend him to any learner.

I could not recommend Tim at Chess Drivers highly enough. As an older driver it was important that I learnt in a wide range of conditions and roads; encompassing different situations. Tim has a vast amount of experience within all the environments the UK has to offer: urban, rural, coastal etc; his expertise helped me to gain an understanding of safe and sensible driving and replaced nervousness with understanding. He is knowledgeable, patient, calm and always composed; an instructor with that great skill of encouraging the pupil to enjoy the process of their drive and with the knack of conveying clear, concise, clarification. I would look forward to each lesson knowing that I would be a more complete driver. I can't thank Tim at Chess Drivers enough for helping me pass my test and attain Pass Plus level.

Highly recommended instructor. I am 17 years old and passed my test first time a couple of months ago with Tim. He is very calm, clear and pleasant. He showed me some really good techniques on the manouvers which I particulary struggled with. Tim was always very reliable and turned up for lessons promptly. I have recently driven down to Brighton. Thank you Tim for giving me the confidence.
