I have been a customer of Toni & Guy for over a decade and decided to use their Islington branch on one of my visits to London. Having used other branches, particularly in my home town, I was aware that not all use the same hair dye so 24 hour patch tests are sometimes required. This was the case in the instant example. However, an appointment was made without reference to this so I duly turned up only to be informed that a patch test is required so they cannot treat me. I kept my cool as I had to have my hair done and I was pressed for time. I asked them to help me find the nearest branch but was simply informed to use my phone to Google the information. I noticed that Victor, who was supposed to do my hair, simply walked past without expressing any concern. An apology was forced out at the end by a member of staff. Ghastly service.

Sadly have to move this review from 5 stars to 1 star. Let me preface this by saying its no fault of the stylist. Okay so I came in for a hair appt and I was accidentally 30 minutes early. I check in, come to find once I am seated in the chair to get my hair done that the hair dresser wont do it because I didnt get the patch test (I work during the week and dont remember to check my personal email). So my issue here is with poor communication. At check in, they should have told me right then Sorry we cant do your hair today because you didnt get the skin test rather than me waiting 30 minutes looking forward to getting my hair coloured only to find out its not happening. This is a Saturday and I couldnt sleep in and got up just for this appt. Lastly, the website itself should notify you before you can enter your credit card info and go to the next screen you have to get a skin test 48 hours before. Lastly, you need to send a text to people reminding them of a skin test 3 days before NOT wne email. I assumed the email I saw in my inbox was just a reminder of the actual appt so I didnt think to check it as I had already set my alarm for it. Please please improve this. Youve lost a customer because I dont feel the prices justify the experience I had. Thanks, A lost customer Service: Hair coloring

Kaz has been cutting my hair for over 8 years. I go back to her time and time again. I have very long, thick and curly hair, therefore its not easy to provide me with a cut that is easy to use both straight and curly. Kaz by far is the most talented hairdresser I have ever come across. I have used many hairdressers in the past before meeting her, all of whom have been very high end both in the UK and abroad but non have even come close to her skills and perfection. Everyone, including hair dressers have commented on how well cut my hair is and have asked who it was cut by. Many of my friends and family have also booked with her and none have ever been disappointed and have been singing her praises. Its hard to explain, but when you see a hair cut by Kaz, you instantly know its been cut by Kaz. If you want a haircut which is done with perfection to the T, please dont hesitate to book an appointment. You just need to show her one picture of what you want and she will deliver. She is absolutely Amazing, a truly talented hairdresser who is on a league of her own! Service: Hairstyling
