Nice quiet campsite easy access to main roads and local attractions. Staff we had interaction with were friendly. Good views. However toilets and showers not cleaned throughout my stay possibly due to lack of staff. Mobile signal quite week also. Wifi only reaches the tavern not the campsite. However would stay here again. Just needs some TLC.

If you are expecting a luxury campsite this is not for you, definitely basic, hence the 3*. We had a friendly greeting on arrival. We didn't go into the clubhouse as we entertained ourselves with an outdoor fire, as did most groups around us. We were in a touring caravan so used our own facilities due to covid-19 and staying safe etc. I did have a wander down to the facilities and found them to be clean considering the ground was extremely boggy and pine needles galore, to be expected as you are literally under the trees!! We're local and stayed at the site purely for the moors and dark sky, didn't quite make it all the way round Colliford Lake but there is next time. Is there a footpath to the lake from the site as we couldn't find it? Only fault was the the bin areas, they were overspilling. We will be returning next year :-)
