We used VBC for our wedding at the start of Feb and couldn't have been happier. It all went perfectly and the deposit was refunded on the Wednesday after the wedding (I saw the below reviews so wanted to give our honest review of the company too). Everything was planned over email with them and worked perfectly on the day (the only thing that didnt was the weather!).

Initially communication was consistent and enthusiastic in the lead up to our wedding in June 2022, but when the team arrived on site they told me that they didnt have anywhere near enough stock or glassware to cover the packages we had paid for in advance, chaos ensued and despite promising to refund our backed bar and deposit, communication has completely ceased and no refunds received. No response to a court order or CCJ which has since been issued. Do not engage with this company and if you are having similar issues, file a claim.

On the lead up to the event they were minimal in replying but were committed. However, since September we still hav'nt received our security deposit back, despite multiple times saying it would be returned with chasing emails and phone calls. Do not use this company it is more hassle than its worth.

I used the vintage bar company for my wedding in September. Initially they were great, quick responses and helpful. They supplied table alcohol on the day and we had a bad service. I was concerned on the lead up to the day as I couldnt get hold of anyone on the phone but by this point we were committed. Emails were replied to after a while and some chasing. On the day the bar staff were friendly and the service was good. Although there were no welcome Bellinis which we had discussed. There was also no visible menu for the cocktails so people were unsure what was available but these are minor issues and on the whole it was ok. The staff were keen to play a cocktail drinking game with the guests where if the guest could down the cocktail before it had been poured they would get the drink for free along with a complimentary shot of tequila. This along with the guests being given double shots not singles and other free drinks meant that the guests were incredibly merry on minimal spend. This seems great until we got to the end of the night and the staff told us we had (not surprisingly due to free drinks) not met our minimum bar spend. This meant that my husband and I were hit with a nearly 600 bill and the staff refused to leave until this was paid. We were shocked but trying to not let it ruin our wedding day so we said we would pay the bill but have all the alcohol that was not apparently consumed .. this was refused. We paid. We then went on our honeymoon for a long weekend and discussed how we both felt.. we both felt conned out of money. Giving free drinks to guests so you Can tell us the bar bill is too low and then take money so we both sent emails. These were ignored for days. In the mean time I should have been sent back my security deposit. I wasnt. I have sent countless emails. Tom the director had told me that he will refund half the money and send the rest as alcohol which were owed. I have this in writing but he is not responding to nothing. He has finally sent back my security deposit. Currently were almost 600 down but most importantly it put a real dampener on our special day. A day which we had planned for a long time. A day which will never happen again. There has been minimal apology. He wont pick up the phone to have a conversation and emails are rarely replied to. Everyone else who supplied for our day was great. I am not someone who likes to complain. Im a teacher, I see the best in everybody and every situation but being conned and then ignored just isnt ok.

I used The Vintage Bar company for my wedding and they were outstanding. The customer service was top notch. Even though I made so many changes and had so many questions due to coronavirus restrictions, they always replied super speedily and were so helpful. On the day, the cocktails were tasty and the staff friendly and professional. I would highly recommend this company.
