Had a healing Thai Massage! She was thorough as well as addressed the specific ailment for which I needed support. She was kind, calming and considerate. The pressure was consistent and responsive to my tolerance. I left feeling settled and floating on the lightest legs.

Terrible in all possible ways - in terms of quality of the service and quality of facilities. First, traditional Thai massage had nothing to do with "traditional". There were hardly any stretches and the whole thing consisted of being soaked in oil. It was actually an oil bath, rather than a massage. Second, the therapist asked NOTHING about issues and problems at the beginning. She did not ask anything and all attempts to communicate with her were in vain as she did not speak any English beyond simple words. So was not able to explain why I came and what issue I needed to address specifically. This is a serious error and can be dangerous is someone has health issue or certain problem. Can result in serious harm! Some basic hygienic rules keeping would be useful (e.g. the therapist should wash her hands before proceeding to face... Going from rubbing oil between toes directly into face and hair is gross!). Again, impossible to explain as no English. When complaining to the person at the reception, I was told (direct quote): "if you came more often, you would get used to it". Honestly, thanks but no thanks!

I have been visiting Kobkun Thai Therapy in Highbury and in Essex Road for about 10 years. They are consistently superb. Lovely relaxing ambience, clean, excellent skilled staff. I had another great visit with a deep tissue massage by Ying. Som is also excellent.
