This is by far the best gym I've been to in London. Yes one month would pay for 5 months of PureGym membership, but I can guarantee that there are very few people who go to Third Space who do not believe it's absolutely worth the money. All the fancy changing room amenities are worth nothing if the gym doesn't deliver on the basics, but it absolutely does - it has around ten squat racks with Eleiko barbells and bumper plates, specialty barbells I've not seen at other non-powerlifting/strongman gyms, lots of cable stations with a great variety of attachments and a decent amount of plate-loaded machines. The dumbbells go up to 50 kgs, they provide chalk and you don't even need to bring exercise bands or hip circles for warming up - they provide loads. There's a great functional strength area too with kettlebells, sandbags, plyo boxes etc. Of course the amenities are mega sweet - you can't beat sauna followed by jaccuzi after a workout, and relaxing on a lounger by the pool while reading the free provided FT seals the deal. The changing rooms have great facilities too, like GHD straighteners and micellar water and a giant human blow-dryer that you can step into to dry down after your shower (no one ever does but... You could??). I was never much of a classes person but the hot yin yoga is also incredible for recovery, special shout-out to Meg who's the GOAT of relaxation If I had to find something to nitpick at it would be that there's not a massive variety in machines so if you want to train like a professional bodybuilder and need eg multiple variations of horizontal row machines, you won't find them here. I also wish the changing room would stock dry shampoo like the Marylebone branch does and that the 10-30 kg dumbbells would jump in increments of 1 kg and not 2.5. But those are incredibly minor in the grand scheme of things and I'd rate this branch a big fat 100/100.

Thirdspace Islington is a wonderful gym with great facilities and classes and I initially joined, as well as took on a Personal Trainer, to get back in shape after being away from the gym for nearly a year. Over the last couple months I have had the privilege to have an incredible Personal Trainer, Raphael Debnath, who has been instrumental in both how I have moved closer to my physical fitness goals as well as my confidence in the gym. He has taken a structured approach, setting 8 week plans that are clear and achieve results. During this time, we have also focussed part of each session on boxing and kickboxing, which was a major goal and passion of mine. The progress I have experienced is amazing, and my passion toward martial arts, alongside my confidence, has grown more than I initially imagined. He has been supportive, positive, inspiring, versatile and patient, and I highly recommend both Thirdspace and Raphael as a Personal Trainer.

I have been a member since Islington club opened, it my favourite place to hang out, work, workout and pamper in the spa. I love the classes and gym is equipped to perfection, there is always staff on hand if you need help with anything. The caffe offers amazing food, snacks and shakes. Im addicted and would Totally recommend to others

I would like to congratulate Vincent Tang on being such a great Personal Trainer. Vincent has been supporting me for the last wo months, and I have been very impressed with his vast knowledge and professionalism. I was very new to the gym before starting with Vincent, and had very little experience in working out. Vincent has made it a lot easier than I thought, and more enjoyable. I have been amazed how well Vincent is able to vary each session and to make each session fun. Each session is different, and I have been working on muscles I never thought existed! My aim was to lose fat mass and gain muscle mass when I first started the sessions. I have seen great results over the last 2 months, managing to lose 7% body fat and add 3.5kg in muscle mass in two months. Vincent has helped me to greatly improve my personal strength and fitness. I would recommend Vincent to anybody looking to improve their personal fitness and strength all round. Third Space is very lucky to have such a good PT as Vincent. Thank you Vincent, and I am looking forward to developing my personal strength and fitness with you further.
