Last year after much suffering, our cat was finally able to be seen by the vets, due to lockdown not making this possible. He had been bleeding and had a bad open wound that would not heal and was extremely painful. The vet was dismissive, did the bare minimum, said it was nothing but an ingrown toenail. Another vet at the surgery then after many visits suggested that trauma was had and it wouldn't heal so his digit had to be amputated. This came as a shock and we got a second opinion. A student vet at another surgery, immediately on just seeing the offending wound, said that it was cancer and a biopsy they took indeed confirmed this. This surgery and vet never suggested a biopsy either. The bleeding was not normal as we were told and dismissed with and it not healing was not normal, many trips were made unnecessary to this place. How can experts that are qualified not know it was cancer and a student gave it one look, the first and only time seen our pet and identified it? Also, our baby was a boy and they kept referring to him constantly as 'she' and no matter how many times he was seen and we corrected this mistake, this occurred making me question if they even go over records they have. I found this extremely unprofessional. After the amputation, we never went back and this year the cancer returned and took our family member away. The receptionist was always kind. I will never forgive the negligence, lack of care, unprofessionalism and lack of dedication to investigate or the poor knowledge and training. Our concerns were just dismissed, the cancer that is obvious to any trained and knowledgable vet wasn't identified nor did they take it upon themselves to investigate if didn't have answer, you put your trust and faith in these people and most importantly your loved ones life and we would never have known or been told that it was cancer had we not gone elsewhere and heaven forbid the lack of care and treatment he would have been given with the aggressive cancer that Prince, yes, Prince and a male and our FAMILY, would have had to endure, unnecessary suffering and no treatment offered and no fight to keep him alive but the minimal done and just been told to put him to sleep is what would have occurred if case, with no other alternatives or fight to help treat him and keep him alive is what I feel would have occurred from the experience we had when the first time cancer was to be had and nobody identified this or dismissed a wound that didn't heal. Cancer stops wounds healing, is this too complicated and difficult for qualified professionals? lack of empathy and lack of knowledge, pure negligence end off. So, glad got second opinion and once his digit removed we never went back again. When cancer was suspected a second time, the new vet unable to see it but feel it, identified it and gave options and alternatives and tried their best unlike what happened with VetCare, please change your name if this is the service you offer, there is no care but negligence here.

My rabbit went to this surgery and then a few days later suddenly became very dizzy, unco-ordinated and died. The internet described the symptoms as ataxia caused by an infection. 48 hours after the first rabbit died, our second rabbit died of the same thing (same symptoms).

I turned up this morning for an agreed (and email confirmed) 11.30am appointment at the Sale practice (our Puppy needs his second vaccination today!) to be told that there are no vets there and the surgery is shut by a guy doing some work in the building. I was told to call a range of different numbers, with (initially) no response from any of them (they just ring out) and now where all are constantly engaged. I've already emailed, but please contact me asap to resolve this.

AVOID VETCARE SALE! One of the worst veterinarian experiences of my life. Poor care, over booked and under staffed. If care cant be properly given services shouldnt be offered. My cat died a painful death and suffered much long than necessary due to the negligence at this vet. I was told numerous times she was fine, despite not eating and throwing up blood. I spent a fortune on blood tests and repeat trips, Through desperation I sought a second opinion and found she had inoperable terminal cancer. Vet care Sale did the bare minimum, insisted on a sedation. There were no suggestions of further investigation, no different approaches suggested, just the same anti nausea medication and a wait and see. After a month of no eating it was a desperate situation and there was clearly no indication of concern. Voicemails for more help left unanswered. A month after she had passed i received a callous email asking why another vet had requested her file, asking why they had lost our business. No questions about the cat or her condition. I cant change the suffering a little life when through but hopefully youll read this and think twice about putting your precious pets life into a money hungry companies hands. **edit in response to the owner. My cat passed away at the end of November. Im not sure how this can be an issue. She was my best friend and it took a while to process. So thanks AGAIN for another heartless reply.

Very very poor service offered at Vetcare Sale and Vetcare in Worsley, I have changed vets and can honestly say avoid this place at all cost's. They are absolutely shockineg at answering the phone, I'd 9been calling for 3 weeks on and off to get an appointment and no answer at all? Decided to leave and got a call within 1 hour. Should of done it sooner but hardly used, my Dog did have some extensive treatment a few years ago which I reported to the owner as his tail amputation went wrong and burst open and needed a further amputation, on receiving the records since changing vets all I can say is what they have written up in those records that happened is complete cotton bull! From the advice they given to our phone calls they have lied after lie about our conversations around the procedure, had I of known this years ago i would of reported them further and changed vets immediately. Avoid, avoid ,avoid!!
